2-3 ripe peaches (peeled & sliced)
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1 cup water
For Tea:
2–3 black tea bags (or use green tea, peach tea for a lighter version)
4 cups water
Ice cubes
Lemon slices (optional)
Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Directions
- Make Peach Syrup:
- In a saucepan, combine sliced peaches, sugar, and 1 cup water.
- Simmer on medium heat for 10–15 minutes until peaches are soft and syrupy.
- Mash the peaches slightly while simmering to release flavor.
- Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve (or cheesecloth) and set aside to cool.
- Brew the Tea:
- Boil 4 cups water, remove from heat, and steep tea bags for 5–7 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and let it cool to room temperature.
- Mix and Chill:
- Combine the cooled tea with the peach syrup in a large pitcher.
- Stir well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
- Serve:
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
