3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 Tablespoons of sugar
2 Tablespoons of butter
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 jalapeño, diced
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/4 cups warm water
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Few sliced Jalapenos
Directions
- In a bowl or mixer, combine flours, sugar, salt, and yeast. Gradually add water and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes, or in a stand mixer until smooth and elastic. Add butter, and knead until incorporated.
- Add jalapeños and ½ cup cheese and knead until evenly distributed. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
- Punch down dough and shape into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan, sprinkle half cup shredded cheese and jalapeno slices and cover let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown
- Let cool slightly in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
