Ingredients

  • For the Shake:

  • 2 large ripe mangoes (or 1 to 1.5 cups mango pulp)

  • 1.5 to 2 cups chilled milk

  • 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)

  • A few ice cubes (optional)

  • 2 scoop of vanilla or mango ice cream

  • For Topping:

  • 1 scoop vanilla or mango ice cream

  • Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios)

  • Chopped mango pieces

  • Glazed cherries or tutti frutti

  • Strawberry crush (optional)

Directions

  • Prepare the mango milkshake:
  • In a blender, add chopped mango, chilled milk, sugar, and a scoop of ice cream (optional).
  • Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust thickness by adding more milk if needed.
  • Assemble the Mastani:
  • In each tall serving glass, place about 1 tablespoons Strawberry crush then add fresh mango cubes at the bottom.
  • Pour the prepared thick mango milkshake into the glasses, filling them about two-thirds of the way.
  • Carefully place one generous scoop of vanilla or mango ice cream on top of the milkshake in each glass.
  • Garnish with chopped mangoes, nuts and cherries/tutti frutti.
  • Serve immediately, cold with a straw and a spoon.

Notes

  • Use Alphonso or Kesar mangoes for the best flavor and color.
  • You can skip ice cream in the shake if you want it lighter — just make it thick and creamy.
  • Choose Ripe Mangoes: The key to a delicious Mango Mastani is using very ripe, sweet, and non-fibrous mangoes. Alphonso and Kesar varieties are highly recommended for their flavor and color.
  • Chill Ingredients: Ensure all your ingredients, especially the milk and mangoes, are well-chilled before blending for the best consistency and taste.
  • Consistency: The milkshake should be thick enough to hold the ice cream scoop on top without it sinking immediately.
  • Customization: Feel free to experiment with other toppings like a drizzle of mango syrup, chocolate syrup, or even a sprinkle of cardamom powder for an aromatic twist.
  • Vegan Option: To make it vegan, use plant-based milk (like almond or oat milk) and a dairy-free vanilla or mango ice cream.
